Aristophanes is een hiphop-artieste uit Taiwan die rapt in het Mandarijns en al te horen was op het album ‘Art Angels’ van Grimes. Met een mix van hiphop, slam poetry, jazz, soul en elektronica is haar muziek moeilijk te definiëren, maar steeds even intrigerend.

Met de release van de eerste EP ‘No Rush To Leave Dreams’ werd ze meteen opgepikt door vooraanstaande media als The Fader, Rolling Stone en Vice Magazine. Na eveneens goed ontvangen shows op het Amerikaanse SXSW showcase festival en Coachella werkt ze momenteel aan haar debuutalbum met niemand minder dan Will Butler van Arcade Fire op de producersstoel en geïnspireerd op de filmklassieker ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’.
