Snail Mail

Lindsey Jordan is barely 19, but she and her band Snail Mail already got mentioned as being the saviors of indie rock. We didn’t know indie rock needed saving, but it is true that her EP Habit sounds incredibly refreshing. Postpunkers Priests were convinced and she got to sign to their label Polygon. Stereogum and other Pitchforks were over the moon, and Snail Mail went on tour with girlpool, Waxahatchee and Beach Fossils.

Matador noticed that something was going on, and they signed her for Lush, the LP that came out June 8th. The first single Pristine was called Best Track by Pitchfork and, uhm, us.

Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan is the wisest teenage indie rocker we know.” - Pitchfork
