Support the live music industry

The Belgian live music sector is joining forces with LIVE2020. The initiative wants to support the industry through solidarity campaigns, among other things, so that live music can return to your favorite small and large stages, indoors and outdoors, in the best and safe conditions.

Together we are #UnitedForLiveMusic! The live music sector is unplugged. Literally. It has been quiet on our stages since mid-March. To prevent the spread of the corona virus, all cultural events were banned. There are also no summer festivals this year. The thriving live music industry is bleeding. Artists, backliners, technicians, concert and festival organizers, stage builders, booking agents, marketers, managers, caterers, merchandisers, venue managers, ticket companies, stagehands and so many others are experiencing unprecedented income and revenue losses.

LIVE2020 does not offer an alternative to current and future government support measures. These are and will remain necessary. The fund mainly wants to offer a supplement, where necessary make an extra contribution. To colleagues who have been severely affected by the current crisis in all areas. To the sector itself by supporting recovery initiatives. LIVE2020 gives that little push. So that live music can return to your favorite small and large stages, indoors and outdoors, in the best and safe conditions. So that together we can enjoy those unique and unforgettable experiences that are concerts and festivals.
