It makes sense to sing in your native language: Antwerp based Aili sings in Japanese. 'Dansu' is a nice sticky and uplifting song, perfect for warming up your homely dance floor. Her Ghent companion Transistorcake provides the beats that could come straight from the studio of the Dewaele brothers.

With her Mexican roots, Coco Maria - DJ & selector - has no problem taking us all the way to faraway sunny places. During her sets she knits together pieces of jazz, rumba, cumbia, samba and bossa nova in a flamboyant and energetic way.

You can find Coco and her extensive collection of vinyl records at festivals all over the world. Now that she is in Amsterdam, we are fortunate to be able to enjoy this unique sound from a little closer. Get ready to dance because she will make it impossible for you to stand still!

Rrita Jashari werd geboren in Prishtina, Kosovo en verhuisde op 3 jarige leeftijd naar België. Ze was altijd al een muziekliefhebber en is al jaren betrokken bij muzikale projecten en het verzamelen van vinyl.

Ze is een van de oprichters van het in Brussel gevestigde 54KOLAKTIV en 54 Sound, een met de hand gemaakt geluidssysteem in Jamaicaanse stijl. Sinds een jaar is ze ook programmeur bij VK Concerts in Molenbeek en resident DJ bij Kiosk Radio. In haar dj-sets laat ze mensen graag muziek ontdekken door geluiden uit verschillende tijdperken en gebieden te vermengen, variërend van experimentele, etnische en undergroundmuziek tot dansvloerhits of zelfs meer poppymuziek - dit alles afhankelijk van haar stemming, de context , plaats, publiek en de dingen waar ze naar heeft geluisterd in die specifieke fase van haar leven. Geen muziekpurisme!
