Basement
Basement broke through in the early 2010s with their mix of grunge, emo, and alt-rock, quickly growing into a true cult band. Their second album 'Colourmeinkindness' (2012) marked a turning point: written in haste, recorded in chaos, yet bursting with urgency and melancholy. Think: Sunny Day Real Estate meets Pixies, with lyrics about longing, loss, and hope. While the band went on hiatus shortly after the release, their influence only grew — 'Colourmeinkindness' became the blueprint album for a new wave of alternative guitar bands. Ten years on, its impact is still unmistakable.
