My Baby ^nl/nz^

My Baby is a newly formed group based in The Netherlands comprising Miss Cato, Daniel daFreez, and Sheik van Dyke on vocals, guitar and drums . Discovered in 2012 by funk legend Larry Graham, this threepiece are hitting the road with their danceable live act fueled by country blues, trance and funk, and are set to release their debut album My Baby loves Voodoo in november of 2013. My Baby is a soulful, roots and blues informed rock band that packs a political punch and a live experience that wills you to dance untill you fall into their voodoo trance. They take you on a journey through the ages with country blues and gospel and folk molded into their own brand of indie funk and Louisiana dub. My Baby’s aim is to put you under her spell, fall into her voodoo trance… Sing and dance or you’ll turn to stone!

Thomas Oliver werd in zijn thuisland Nieuw-Zeeland beloond met een award voor het schrijven van zijn hitsingle ‘If I Move to Mars’. Zijn talent wordt niet alleen in Nieuw-Zeeland erkend maar ook ver, ver daarbuiten. Zijn tournees brachten hem op alle continenten van de globe waar hij het podium deelde met ondermeer Fat Freddy’s Drop, Eric Clapton en Xavier Rudd. Oliver combineert in zijn muziek elementen uit de soul, roots en folk en mixt en producet het zelf.

Zijn tedere stemgeluid kan bekend in de oren klinken. Thomas Oliver is namelijk een van de pioniers van de drum ‘n bass vocalisten. Hij is zo’n twintig samenwerkingen aangegaan met grotere namen binnen het genre, waaronder Black Sun Empire, Logistics en Nu:Logic. Maar op dit moment is hij als singer-songwriter mee op tournee met My Baby.
