Believe it or not: Cameron Picton — multi-instrumentalist and co-frontman of Black Midi — is back, featuring his new band My New Band Believe and fresh music! According to Humo, you can expect "Impressive freak folk with baroque arrangements, surrealist lyrics, and experimental tics."

The songs of My New Band Believe are undeniably complex and layered. Their debut single "Lecture 25" is a tight indie-pop track dipped in math-rock fuzz, but their sound is constantly evolving. At times soft, jazzy, and wistful — infused with the warmth of Tropicália — and often energetic and fast-paced.

One of Picton's golden rules for this album: no electric instruments. The result? A massive and almost hallucinatory record, named after his brand-new band. "And since people are constantly asking me questions about it, I can only conclude that it’s a very effectíve bad band name (laughs)."

Cameron Picton emerges as a charismatic narrator, guiding you at high speed through the multiverse created by him and the band. We are beyond excited to see how this translates live at Trix!

Jasper Llewellyn is a London-based artist, performer, and musician, best known as co-founder of the acclaimed experimental indie outfit caroline (Rough Trade Records).

In his solo work, Llewellyn delivers a fascinating mix of stripped-back song structures, soundscapes, and improvisation. Armed with a background in performance art and a sharp eye for sound and atmosphere, he pushes the boundaries between music and physical experience on stage. Expect an intimate live set that is both raw and intriguing.
