Destruction drew their inspiration from bands such as Iron Maiden, Mercyful Fate, Motörhead, and Venom—how could it be otherwise—and was formed in 1982. The band quickly rose to the top of the national thrash metal scene, with albums like Infernal Overkill and Eternal Devastation becoming staples in their impressive heavy metal canon. This led to their inclusion in the “Big Teutonic 4,” alongside Kreator, Sodom, and Tankard.

Flotsam And Jetsam is een thrash metal-band uit 1984 in Phoenix, Arizona. Hun debuutalbum Doomsday For The Deceiver wordt door velen nog steeds gezien als een mijlpaal in de geschiedenis van Trash Metal. Het in 1986 uitgebrachte album dreef de originele bassist Jason Newstead naar het internationale superstardom als lid van Metallica.
