Personal Trainer is the restlessly creative indie rock collective led by Willem Smit. Rising from Amsterdam’s grassroots scene to the world stage via Bella Union, the band recently shifted gears for their latest album, Human Assholes, prioritizing live group recording over digital assembly. Renowned for their hyperactive and inventive live presence—spanning from 24-hour sets at Paradiso to global festivals like SXSW and Lowlands—Personal Trainer treats every stage as a space for constant reinvention and infectious energy.
Library Card
Rotterdam’s Library Card is a band of contrasts: abrasive yet melodious, explosive yet introverted. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Protomartyr and the poetry of Anne Clark, the quartet has quickly become a standout in the Dutch underground scene. Spearheaded by Lot van Teylingen—whose spoken word alternates between sardonic and sincere—the band creates an urgent, propulsive sound where every member manifests equally. Since their first official gig in 2022, Library Card has been on a fast upward trajectory, supporting acts like OSEES and Sports Team, and impressing audiences at tastemaking festivals across Europe.
