Sofie Birch
Sofie Birch is a Danish sound artist creating breathtaking ambient and electro-acoustic music. Using field recordings, analog synths, vocals, and trance instruments, she builds immersive sonic worlds that subtly shift your perception. Under the banner Ambient Abracadabra, she invites listeners into a space of deep listening, through live performances, installations, and her monthly show on NTS Radio.
With over ten years of experience, Sofie has composed for theatre, film, and art installations. Her work has earned the Carl Nielsen Talent Prize and critical acclaim from platforms like Pitchfork. Alongside her partner, she runs a studio and a large garden on an island near Copenhagen. That deep connection to nature forms the red thread in everything she creates: organic, vibrational music that invites you to slow down and attune to your surroundings.
