TAMINO + AUDRI

Tamino is een zanger/gitarist/pianist uit Antwerpen. Hij maakt sobere, melancholische muziek, vaak traag van tempo altijd rijk in expressie. Sinds zijn opvallende passage in de Radio 1-Sessie van Het Zesde Metaal, de overwinning in Stu Bru's 'De Nieuwe Lichting' en het prachtige nummer 'Habibi' wordt hij nu al als dé Belgische revelatie van 2017 bestempeld.

Zijn jeugd heeft Tamino zowel in Vlaanderen als in Egypte doorgebracht (hij heeft een Egyptische vader). Het was onvermijdelijk dat zijn achtergrond dan ook doorsijpelt in zijn muziek. Zijn composities zijn beeldend en niet gespeend van dramatiek. Daarnaast waait er een onmiskenbare woestijnwind door zijn muziek. Ver op de achtergrond zal de goede verstaander ook de geest herkennen van Jeff Buckley.

Een eerste EP is in voorbereiding en zal in mei verschijnen op Unday Records (N.E.W.S.).
