Trix Season Launch 2026-2027
On Thursday, September 10th, we invite you to launch the new season together with us. And where better than right in the heart of the city?
For one day only, we are leaving our home base at Noordersingel to head into central Antwerp. We're setting up shop at Coming Soon (located in the former Bijenkorf building on Oudaan) with a mini-version of what Trix is every single day: a breeding ground where emerging talent grows, experiments, and gets a stage. You’ll (re)discover everything Trix stands for, compact and intimate, but every bit as explosive and exciting.
Our Trix Werkplaats remains, now more than ever, the beating heart of Trix, fueling a constant flow of new talent that deserves to be heard and seen. On our stages, you get to see the final result. For this season kick-off, we’re letting our stage and our workplace blend seamlessly together. We’re bringing them to you closer than ever, while taking a first look at what the upcoming season has in store.
On the lineup? A 100% in-house roster. Current resident Mixed Waste will kick things off with a high-energy dose of explosive post-punk, followed by a DJ set from ex-resident Blu Samu (who you can also catch live in Trix on November 18th!). Throughout the evening, you can screen-print your own free Trix merch with Spoor resident Ellen Verbiest, while programmers Mathilde & Stijn broadcast live radio right from the floor. Plus, we've got a very cool surprise up our sleeve.

Blu Samu
Blu Samu has lived many lives, from Portugal to Brussels with a brief romance in Antwerp. As a poet and urban samurai, she tells her stories through an intuitive mix of hip-hop and soul. Having found her footing alongside Le 77 and Zwangere Guy and tearing up festivals like Dour and Pukkelpop, she has now reached a defining milestone.
Her brand-new debut album '(K)NOT' marks a profound personal turning point of acceptance and transformation. Her sound moves instinctively between pop impulses, soul, and what she calls 'porcelain punk'—delicate yet robust, where gritty guitars and shimmering drum loops collide. Shaped by multiple cultures, she explores self-sabotage, nostalgia, self-love, and resilience. Instead of dramatizing her flaws, she reveals them and transforms them into living material. With this new body of work, she asserts her singular place on the European scene as a fully realized artist.
Mixed Waste
Antwerp post-punk outfit Mixed Waste has built a powerhouse reputation strictly on the back of their explosive live shows. Combining razor-sharp riffs, grimy synths, and sweat-drenched melodies, the five-piece draws inspiration from the likes of Fontaines D.C., Pixies, and IDLES. Fresh off a standout win at Sound Track—including the Lotto Audience Award—their raw energy and hyperkinetic stage presence make them a brilliant, chaotic breath of fresh air in the Belgian punk scene.
