For fans of
Trixie Whitley
Trixie Whitley has spent years navigating the space between past trauma and present joy. On her new album Folded Time (Unday Records), she rebuilds her life through honest songs about loss, healing, and motherhood.
As the daughter of Chris Whitley, Trixie was already behind the drum kit at age ten, DJing in underground Berlin clubs at eleven, and touring Europe as a dancer in her teens. Through her impressive solo work and unique collaborations, Trixie Whitley has grown into one of the most distinctive and recognizable voices of her generation.
Folded Time took shape between Brussels, Brooklyn, and Montreal. Guided by pure intuition, Trixie took the reins herself on drums, guitar, piano, and bass. The result is a vulnerable yet powerful record: an intimate, multi-layered portrait of an artist laying her cards on the table and fully embracing who she is.
