Workshop: learn how to mix

Have you always wondered what makes a mix feel 'finished'? How to take a rough demo to the next level? In this workshop series, you will learn the complete workflow using an existing track: from raw stems and building a mix template to the final mix delivery. You will discover how a mix comes together, along with all the tips & tricks to get your (rough) mix ready for mixing and/or mastering. Both technical aspects (session preparation, routing, gain staging, EQ, compression, templates, etc.) and creative tools (saturation, reverb, delay, etc.) will be covered.
Teacher: Diana Dzjamaldaeva
Diana Dzjamaldaeva (she/her) is a Chechen-born audio engineer and DJ, currently running her own studio in Brussels. Her mixing and recording credits include artists such as IKRAAAN, Clara!, Martha Da'ro, Amrita Khan, leitlokomotiv, 4nouki, Le Talu, JAY MNG, H.Solo, Laura Y, and many others. Experienced in both studio and live mixing, Diana has worked with BRUZZ Radio, VRT NWS (mixing the evening news), Trix Studio, among others. S
he is currently a permanent member of Flagey’s audio team and a freelance lecturer and sound technician at Trix.
