Testament is een legendarische Amerikaanse thrashmetalband die al decennia lang een vaste waarde is in het genre. Met hun dertiende album Titans of Creation combineren ze hun klassieke thrashsound met frisse, progressieve invloeden. Het album behandelt thema’s als culten, dromen, mentale gezondheid en spirituele genezing, ondersteund door krachtige riffs, complexe gitaarpartijen en intense vocalen van Chuck Billy en Eric Peterson.

De productie, onder leiding van Juan Urteaga en Andy Sneap, tilt het geheel naar een hoog niveau. Testament bewijst met deze release dat ze nog steeds vernieuwend zijn, zonder hun roots te verloochenen—echte titanen van de thrashmetal.

De Canadese thrashmetalband Annihilator werd in 1984 opgericht door "vocalist, guitarist, bassist, songwriter, engineer, producer, mixer and mastering engineer" Jeff Waters. Intussen is de band heel wat personeelswissels en 15 albums verder, maar staan ze op het podium anno 2017 nog steeds als het welbekende huis. Line-up: Jeff Waters (vox, guitar), Fabio Alessandrini (drums), Rich Hinks (bass) & Aaron Homma (guitar).
