Innovation & infrastructure

At Trix we have a high-quality and sustainable infrastructure. In collaboration with the city of Antwerp, we are committed to improve the management and monitoring of our HVAC systems, which stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. We offer thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality. The way in which these systems are managed determines how sustainable the systems are. In the short term, the city of Antwerp foresees investments in Trix's HVAC systems to increase energy profit.

We are almost finished with a multi-year LED project. We are switching from incandescent and halogen lamps to LED lamps as much as possible. In addition, we have also installed extra dimmers, timers & sensors to prevent waste and we have permanently switched off all electric boilers.

Within the section "clean water & sanitary", Trix has taken various sustainable actions in recent years. For example, we have been using sensor taps and energy-saving shower heads for quite some time now. Water is a very precious commodity and that is why we use it as sparingly as possible in our operations. For more information, read the section on bottled water savings in the 'conscious nutrition' section.
