Open house

Everyone is welcome at Trix! We ensure that everyone, regardless of their religion, ethnicity, orientation… feels welcome at Trix. Open house stands for diversity and inclusivity. We always try to apply this at different levels. The basic principle here is to ensure that Trix staff members respect the same values and apply them continuously.

With these core values in mind, we try to put together a program that is as inclusive as possible, both online and offline. Some examples:

In collaboration with Champion Sound we organize the Female Producer Camp, where the coaches are all women. In addition to attracting and inspiring female producers, the focus lies on the LGBTQIA+ community. Women's empowerment is the underlying message.

During the summer of 2020, Trix was an active partner in the project "Youth Make the City". Every Wednesday afternoon we organized accessible workshops together with Rataplan, JES and Scum Studios. In Trix, the studio and the stage were used to experiment. The focus lied on addressing and involving young people from the neighborhood.

Vi.be's Local Heroes is also a project in which we want to play an important role. We strive for an artist reach and audience reach that is as inclusive as possible.

Accessibility for the disabled is very important to us. We always take this into account when adapting and renovating the infrastructure. The Trix building is currently almost 100% accessible, but we are also aware that we can take further concrete actions in this area as well as for other attention groups (visually impaired, hearing impaired, ...).

Trix has the ambition to be a mirror of the super diverse Antwerp reality in all facets of its activities. Both as an organization and in our actions we still have some way to go, but we are determined.
