Celebration of Life

Archive

The Celebration of Life line-up is here!

Once again Celebration of Life will unfold across 3 stages at Trix Antwerp. Let’s gather for a night spanning from uplifting trance, defiant techno and sing-along pop anthems. Brussels’ based collective NotYourTechno will join us and take over the club upstairs.

Celebration of Life is a safer space for queers and their allies. In this space we celebrate our scene and our shared love for electronic music. We’re all about stimulating free spirit, self-discovery and inclusion.

For fans of

Veronika Deneuve
Has already performed at Trix in 12.2022 & 12.2024

Veronika Deneuve used to visit all the very gay places. Those "come what may" places, where one relaxes on the axis of the wheel of life to get the feel of life from pop music and cocktails. Then Send In The Clowns came along with its siren song, to tempt her to madness. You knew all the while that her poignant smile was tinged with the sadness of a great love for euphoric house, hardgroove, eurodance, and some trance from time to time. And now she’s in to celebrate a lush life.

Vera Moro
Has already performed at Trix in 03.2025

Vera Moro (she/her) is a dynamic queer DJ and performer based in Brussels. Originally from Verona, Italy, and having spent part of her youth in Chile, she mixes guaracha, latincore, breakbeat, hardgroove, and progressive trance into her electrifying sets. Vera uses music as a tool for decolonization and queer expression and is a key force in Brussels' flourishing queer scene. As a co-founder of Viciosa and resident DJ for Deep Down East and Queer Future Club, she actively collaborates with queer organizations across Europe to create safer and more inclusive spaces in nightlife.

Spirite

Spirite is a Montreal-born and Brussels-based artist. She is a resident dj and member of Not Your Techno and co-founder of Double Double. Both in her recorded sets and live sets, she likes to create unexpected connections between songs and to bring the listener on a unique sonic journey each time she steps behind the decks.

Schacke
Has already performed at Trix in 12.2022

Based in Copenhagen, the half Danish half South Korean musician Schacke has been producing sounds of a large variety of different styles since their early teens. Starting with a background in Metal, Noise, and Industrial, Schacke has continually shown a determination to expand and evolve their universe through the exploration of electronic music. Since moving to Copenhagen around ten years ago, Schacke has run an underground label for experimental music and noise, co-owned and run the legendary Mayhem venue in Copenhagen, and released music under a variety of different aliases on local and international labels such as Kulør, Mama Told Ya, KAOS, Instruments Of Discipline and Intrepid Skin. Furthermore, Schacke launched the label Sacred Interface in 2022, focusing on high-quality techno and trance from the local scene.
As one of the original members of the Fast Forward collective and agency, Schacke has played a significant role in shaping and defining what has become known as the ‘’Copenhagen Techno Sound’’, which they helped pioneer with their first two techno records on the now-defunct Ectotherm label between 2015-2017 started by Mama Snake and Courtesy. Schacke is also a resident DJ and event organizer at the famous queer sex parties by ethical porn production company ‘’Bedside Productions’’.

Sara Dziri

DJ, music composer, producer, and performer Sara Dziri is a versatile artist who keeps adding strings to her bow. Born in Antwerp to a Belgian mother and Tunisian father, Sara uses music as more than a means of expression. The apprenticeship of music quickly became an opportunity to overcome the distance and differences between her two cultures: Belgian and Tunisian. It is also her way of building bridges between people and making them feel like they belong. The multifaceted identity helped Sara navigate the music industry and establish herself as a pillar of Brussels’ electronic underground in just a few years.

Mohajer

Mohajer doesn’t just read the room, she galvanizes it. Hailing from Gothenburg, the Swedish-born DJ has been playing for over a decade, and has spent the past nine years honing her high-energy sound in Berlin. Her dynamic sets—at Berghain, Bassiani, Kyiv’s ∄ (K41), and Endurance in Copenhagen—demonstrate her intellectual appreciation of music; fusing old school and groove with hard-hitting techno, and the innate appreciation for sexy percussion she attributes to her Persian roots.

Melissa Juice

Always gay as in happy, always queer as in "fuck you".

Melissa Juice is a Canada-born, Brussels-based dancefloor demon and (hyper)active member of the city's queer & selector scenes. Mixing everything from meticulously constructed soundscapes to wild raves, her sets are fluid, versatile and unapologetic. Long blends and layered grooves tie together her multitude of musical tastes, with a heavy dose of all things progressive, trance-y and acidic. Expect irresistible rhythms, hypnotic vocals and forbidden throwbacks. Melissa Juice is a resident DJ and co-organiser at Missfitte, a collective hosting care-focused, queer-forward underground events with women and non-binary folks at the core. She is also the co-host of Double Double on Radio Vacarme (alongside fellow DJ Spirite), a radio show that promotes women and queer DJs in Canada and Belgium. Beyond the decks, Mel is equally invested in the fiercely political roots of rave. Through collaboration with local organizations, care teams and community members, she aims to create spaces that offer knowledge and resources related to substance use, consent and discrimination. It is in these spaces that celebration can become a radical protest against structural shame and oppression.

Mauve Lux

Mauve Lux, icon in the Belgian drag scene and part of House of Lux and Kuntsucht collective, is know for her eclectic sets, high energy behind the decks and serving straight up pop puss

He continues to inspire through his artistry, pushing boundaries and fostering a sense of community and creativity with an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and the transformative power of music.

Femmeboyant
Has already performed at Trix in 10.2023

Femmeboyant's sets focus on songs with lyrics people know and love (mostly). As a person on the spectrum, they understand nightlife can be intense and overstimulating. Hearing a song you know distracts from the uncomfort nightlife can bring to neurodivergent people and provide a safe space in the mind. Where they differentiate is in the way the songs are reworked. This way they can incorporate techno, trance, house, disco and many more so everybody will have a good time.
