Floor Jansen

Floor Jansen needs no introduction. As the frontwoman of Finnish metal giant
Nightwish, she has been wowing festival crowds and concert halls worldwide for
years. Her musical journey began in the late ’90s with After Forever, after which she
founded the band ReVamp. In 2013, she officially joined Nightwish, but it was her
unforgettable appearance on the TV show “Beste Zangers” in 2019 that truly
propelled her into the mainstream. Since then, Jansen has been fully focused on her
solo career. While her debut album ‘Paragon’ (2023) featured a delicate pop sound,
her new music takes a decidedly different direction. Her recently released single
“RUN” is darker and heavier than her earlier solo work and nods to her heavy
musical roots. The down-tuned guitars, layered vocals, and compact structure bring
the sound closer to heavy rock and metal, though the overall track remains very
accessible.
