Shaka Shams grew up between Antwerp, the UK, and his South African roots. Music became his home at an early age, shaped by influences from hip hop, soul, drum ’n’ bass and house, and a distinctive nostalgic voice that makes his sound unique. With a strong visual identity, inspired by anime and cartoons, he creates his own universe full of mystique and energy. Through his Action Only EP series and winning De Nieuwe Lichting 2022, Shaka has proven himself as one of the most promising new voices in the Belgian scene.

Alice Mae (real name Alexia) grew up sneaking her parents’ CDs, diving headfirst into the world of classic alternative rock. Inspired by legends like Oasis, The Rolling Stones and U2, she set out to carve her own path: pure, no-nonsense rock with a distinctly feminine edge. Her voice is raw and lived-in, her lyrics honest and unfiltered, music that cuts deep yet lifts you up. With her vibrant personality and passion that bursts from the stage, Alice Mae welcomes you into her club of Messed Up Grown Ups.

If Jazz Sanusi’s energy doesn’t blow you away her voice surely will. The Belgian-Nigerian artist dishes out a delicious R&B sound. Her tunes float in the spaces between Jazz, Blues, Disco, Soul and HipHop. The Trix Artist in Residence presents us her EP Tender Toughness. The five tracks all underscore the immense strength in vulnerability. Important to add is that Jazz is one of those artists you need to see live. Her presence on stage is truly unmatched.

Saino creates music to get lost in. Starting out as a lo-fi beatmaker, he evolved into a versatile hip hop and electronic producer with a distinctive style. Always rooted in lo-fi as a feeling and atmosphere, he explores boundaries from dreamy soundscapes to immersive ambient worlds. His tracks shift from soothing and introspective to rhythm-driven and danceable, with atmosphere always at the core.

Onzin is a versatile artist working as a producer, rapper, and theatermaker. Under his alter-ego "Nozem", he has released several beat tapes and collaborated with artists like Deadbeat Larry, Low G, and Brihang. In addition to his solo work, Onzin is also part of a live band, alongside Ruben de Maesschalck (bass), Willem Malfliet (guitar/synths), Tim Caramin (drums), and Benjamin Hermans (flute). In this setting, they released their debut album "Diepzeeduiven" last year.

As a theatermaker, Onzin merges his passion for music and performance. Together with Danny Bouman, he developed the concept of "rave-theater", leading to the performance "Koodgapje en de Bote Groze Dolf", where he explores innovative forms of expression.

Catherine is a creative fangirl through and through. You’ll often find her in the middle of a mosh pit with a camera in hand, or scrolling through endless inspiring talent on her screen. On LinkedIn, they call it “marketing and promo,” but in reality, ID&T, Studio Brussel, JBL, JD Sports, De Warmste Week, and Trix have all happily trusted her with their projects. Now, she’s excited to share that experience in her workshop.

Ramos Sama is a hyperkinetic, rhythmic free spirit whose twinkling eyes reveal the joy he brings to everything he does. Dance is his medium and language, but far from his only outlet. As a creative powerhouse, he has lit up national and international stages for years – not only as a dancer, but also as a DJ, organizer, and founding member of Konichiwa Crew, which later evolved into the acclaimed collective Osei Bantu.

Michiko Lii (they/them) is a performance artist, host, and queer activist based in Antwerp. Through spoken word, movement, and imagination, they explore themes of identity, intimacy, and transformation. Beyond the stage, Michiko is committed to making art and culture more open and inclusive, always creating space for new voices and stories.
