The Academic

This Irish indie rock band, formed in 2013, is known for their infectious energy and fresh, contemporary sound. With influences from bands like The Strokes and Two Door Cinema Club, they masterfully strike a balance between danceable melodies, crisp guitars, and sincere, relatable lyrics.

The band has since grown into one of the most promising acts in Europe, with an impressive and ever-expanding repertoire. They have already graced major festivals like Reading & Leeds and Electric Picnic, winning over more hearts with their authentic style and dynamic performances. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering their music, The Academic promises an experience you won’t soon forget.

A fresh face on the Brussels alternative scene, DC Lou carves her own path, guided by instinct and emotion. With her three bandmates, she navigates alt-pop and indie rock landscapes, blending honeyed guitars, lunar synths, and a touch of nostalgia. Written in London and recorded in Brussels, her songs explore change, storms, and fleeting joy. Her debut single, "Cake", is a bold declaration of independence, a shimmering dream-pop hymn to risk-taking and resilience.
