The Veils

The Veils have been a compelling force in alternative rock for over two decades. Fronted by Finn Andrews, who was signed to Rough Trade Records at just 16, the band has released eight studio albums to date, including The Runaway Found (2004), Nux Vomica (2006), Total Depravity (2016), Asphodels (2025), and their latest, Fragile World (2026). Known for their intense, instinctive live performances, The Veils have built a formidable reputation worldwide.

Their new album, Fragile World, recorded live to tape in New Zealand with production by Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins, The Chills), marks a bold shift in tone and energy. With immediacy, intensity, and emotional clarity, it reflects the fragility of the present moment and the delicate process of creation. Over the years, The Veils have collaborated with artists like Run the Jewels’ El-P and earned praise from filmmakers Paolo Sorrentino, Tim Burton, and David Lynch, who have featured their music on soundtracks. 

Few songwriters carve out a path as uniquely their own as Anthonie Tonnon. While his sonic palette constantly evolves through experiments with synths and sampling, the true constants remain his sharp lyricism and immersive, theatrical live shows.

After taking home New Zealand’s prestigious Taite Music Prize in 2022 for his album Leave Love Out Of This, Tonnon is back with new music and a radical new live setup. This time around, the guitar is swapped for a vocoder, and dual Synthstrom Deluges are transformed into futuristic CDJs. It’s a high-concept performance that takes its cues from turn-of-the-millennium dance culture, cinema, and the avant-garde Situationist movement. Expect an absolute one-of-a-kind live experience.
