Spencer Krug

Halfway the previous decennium, Canadian band Wolf Parade became one of the most noteable indie acts of the northern hemisphere. It was a guy called Spencer Krug who was responsible for that - later also the driving force behind Sunset Rubdown, Swan Lake and Frog Eyes. He used his more modest project Moonface as an outlet for his introverted, poetic songs. Now, he returns to his beloved piano. Krug has ventured back into his own fantastic world of pseudo-classical balladeering; poetic lyricism laced with twisted pop sensibility and jazz mimicry. Live he will perform new songs as well as those from older projects.

“No matter how much he experiments, it’s that rich, spectral voice that will emerge as the most captivating part of any Krug project.” - Consequence of Sound
