A few times a month, we bring you live radio from the Noordersingel, featuring in-depth conversations, unique musical performances, and a closer look at the broader music scene. We take you behind the scenes at Trix, where we welcome artists, residents, and music lovers alike.
This week’s guests: Dishwasher_, KAU & Lazzaro
/ Dishwasher_
The Belgian groove and jazz scene delivers yet another gem — this time under the name Dishwasher_. The Ghent-based trio refuses to be tied down to a single style. Since 2019, they’ve been exploring sounds and genres far and wide, resulting in music that feels modern, inventive, and entirely their own. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2023, closes an impressive first chapter with a collection of groovy tracks that are both diverse and cohesive.
/ KAU
KAU, formerly known as KAU trio, is an instrumental group from Brussels that seamlessly blends jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music. With impeccable command of drums, bass, and analog synths, they create an entrancing atmosphere that makes heads nod and feet move. Their sound is intense and immersive — an invitation to discover new sonic textures and lose yourself in the rhythm.
/ La Zza Ro
Under the moniker La Zza Ro, Geraldine Vanspauwen balances between ambient and songwriting, crafting sonic landscapes where the ethereal and the earthly meet. Her debut EP The Inner Land is Wide and Free appeared in 2022, and she’s currently working on her first full-length album. Using intimate tape recordings, loops, haunting textures, and a dreamy voice, she weaves music that feels both tangible and poetic. Beyond her solo work (tapes, strings, keys, vocals), she is active with Zemlya (drums, vocals) and Sergeant (guitar, vocals), and she also hosts the monthly radio show Unburdened Bones on Kiosk Radio.
