Napalm Death gb
Napalm Death is a grindcore/death metal band from Birmingham, England. The band was formed in the village of Meriden near Birmingham, England in 1981 by Nicholas Bullen and Miles Ratledge. Although other groups had previously played fast and aggressive music, Napalm Death is credited with defining the Grindcore genre through its fusion of punk and metal musical structures, aggressive playing, fast tempos, and deep guttural vocals. There are no original members left in the band: indeed, the early history of the band is one of constant member rotation - by the second side of its debut album "Scum" in 1987, the band did not contain any original members. Napalm Death have released 15 albums to date, the latest being "Apex Predator - Easy Meat". Eyehategod (also abbreviated and often referred to as EHG) is an American sludge band from New Orleans, Louisiana, which formed in 1988. The band is known for their dark, sludgy riffs combined with equally dark lyrics. Along with Melvins and Crowbar they are often considered one of the pioneers of the sludge metal genre. Eyehategod have noted Melvins, Black Sabbath, Black Flag, Saint Vitus, Carnivore, Swans and Flipper as key influences to their sound. These influences combined with heavy, down-tuned, bluesy riffs, walls of feedback and torturous vocals create a truly filthy, misanthropic atmosphere. While Jimmy Bower was busy playing drums for Down, the remaining 4 members of Eyehategod formed a side-project called Outlaw Order (abbreviated to OO%). The band released a limited edition 7" EP in 2003 called Legalize Crime, which has since been re-released on CD with a bonus live track. 2008 saw the release of Outlaw Order's debut full-length, titled Dragging Down the Enforcer. http://www.eyehategod.ee http://www.facebook.com/OfficialEyeHateGod https://twitter.com/EyehategodNola Read more on Last.fm. MISERY INDEX us
Misery Index is an American death metal band formed in 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland by Jason Netherton (bass, vocals), Mike Harrison (guitar, vocals) and Kevin Talley (drums). Some say the band is named after Assück's last album of the same name (1996), however the socio-political theme featured in many of the lyrics also point towards the economic term (both increasing inflation and unemployment result in the rise of the misery index). As of 2010, its line-up consists of Jason Netherton (bass, vocals), Darin Morris (guitar), Mark Klöppel (guitar) and Adam Jarvis (drums). The band released their most recent album "Rituals of Power" on March 8, 2019 via Season of Mist records. Their music is best described as death metal with strong hardcore and grindcore influences. Their vein of music is often said to resemble their fellow Maryland death metal outfit Dying Fetus, as Netherton and (former guitarist) Voyles are former members of the band. Misery Index's lyrical subjects focus mostly on the ills of modern society. Current members: Jason Netherton - Bass, vocals Darin Morris - Guitar Mark Kloeppel - Guitar, vocals Adam Jarvis - Drums Former members: Kevin Talley - Drums Mike Harrison - Guitar Matt Byers - Drums Bruce Greig - Guitar Sparky Voyles - Guitar Read more on Last.fm. ROTTEN SOUND fi
Rotten Sound is a grindcore band which was formed in 1993 in Finland. After a slew of underground releases, singles and EPs, the band unleashed their debut album "Under Pressure" in 1997 on Repulse Records and "Drain" followed in 1998. On year 2002 Rotten Sound released the genre-defining Murderworks (Necropolis/Century Media), one of the corner-stones of modern grindcore and after the release, Rotten Sound found themselves headlining a European tour. http://www.rottensound.com/ http://rottensound.bandcamp.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotten_Sound http://www.discogs.com/artist/293762-Rotten-Sound On January 2005 Spinefarm released "Exit"-album, which went immediately to the Finnish charts and stayed for three weeks. "Exit" also received praising reviews from different medias around the world and was claimed as one of the most important extreme releases of the year 2005. After the release of "Exit" Rotten Sound toured in Scandinavia, U.S. and went on a second headlining tour in Europe during January 2006. Sami Latva joined Rotten Sound in February 2006 to replace long-time drummer, Kai Hahto. The band was expecting to go on a hiatus in 2006, but, thanks to Sami, could start to prepare for the next studio session immediately. They recorded eight new songs for "Consume to Contaminate"-MCD during April 2006. Lyrical content of "Consume to Contaminate" is handling again difficult issues on this globe with loads of cynisism and a touch of death. Rotten Sound has made four full length albums, ten shorter releases, five European tours, two U.S.-tours, three scandinavian tours and is one of the leading bands in grind-core. Now "Consume to Contaminate" introduces the new heavy, aggressive and insane Rotten Sound: a band which is prepared to take destructive powers of grind-core a few big leaps ahead.
