SPOOR series #7: Thomas Peeters + Wannes Cools
Welcome to the SPOOR Series, a monthly meetup in our screen-printing studio, SPOOR!
Once a month, one of our SPOOR residents curates a talk, presenting their work and engaging in conversation with another visual artist. Afterward, join us for a Drink & Draw, where you can get creative in a drawing session, while enjoying a drink, of course!
Exchange and collaboration are at the heart of this event. Looking for inspiration, ideas, or creative output related to all things 2D media and print? Then you’ve come to the right place.
/ Thomas Peeters
Thomas Peeters wants to use Spoor to take his current practice beyond the digital realm and bring his designs into dialogue with the physical world. The core of his graphic work currently consists of designing posters and flyers for punk shows. The interplay between music and visuals is what drives him.
/ Wannes Cools
Wannes Cools is a visual artist based in Ghent. At the core of his practice lies painting, ranging from modest canvases to large-scale murals. His work explores concepts of spatiality and connection. In the spirit of the latter, he launched the project One Hit Wonder in April 2025, a playful, collective experiment where music, imagery, and imagination intertwine.
The project begins with a list of 40 fictional, not-yet-existing bands. These invented acts are brought to life by the audience, from their imagined hit single to the design of their album artwork and everything in between.
In this final session of the Spoor Series, we continue diving into the One Hit Wonders. Several of Wannes’ imaginary bands are still waiting for a cover for their cassette. If all you need is a name and a very vague description, this is your chance to discover a band before they’ve even recorded a demo!
/ About SPOOR
SPOOR is at the intersection of image and music, a space where musicians create screen prints, illustrators and designers exchange mixtapes, and visual artists step out of their studios to design LP covers. SPOOR specializes in screen printing, a laboratory for experimentation where connection, exchange, and creation take center stage.
