VENSTER: a creative space for young people

Venster is a safe space where young people find their voice, try new things, and grow together. It’s all about meeting others, experimenting, and taking action. Dare to be yourself, explore, and join in.
Through a rich program of workshops, open stages, discussions, and creative events, we give young people the tools and confidence to express themselves—whether you’re just starting to dream or ready to claim the stage.
At Venster, you’ll find experiences that are both accessible and meaningful: from DJ workshops, content creation, and talks on mental well-being to relaxing during Windows Up. Our formats: Vensterbank, Open Venster, Young Airs Try-outs, and Girls Only Night, encourage connection, creativity, and inclusion.
- Vensterbank: Free workshops for young people on music, media, and performance.
- Open Venster: A place to meet, chill, talk, or listen to others.
- Windows Up: Windows open, come together, play games, listen to music, or just hang out.
- Jong Geleerd: Short talks and discussions on topics that matter to young musicians, from beginners to pros.
- Views: Networking moments for young creators to meet and exchange ideas.
- Young Airs (Try-outs): A stage for young residents to showcase the music they develop during their residency.
- Girls Only Night: A safe, empowering space for girls and non-binary youth.
Young people here are not just spectators, they are makers, co-organizers, and voices that are heard. Contribute ideas, help organize, showcase your work, or start with something small. We believe in growth trajectories: from first steps to professional try-outs, from quiet passion to visible talent.
Venster is not an endpoint, but a starting point. A place where it doesn’t matter where you come from, only where you want to go.
