Residencies & Artistic Development
Trix is constantly selecting interesting bands and musicians to support them and make all their wildest dreams come true.
From Trix Werkplaats (the Workshop), we offer broad support to young makers, artists, and creatives; we stimulate creation and help them in their further artistic and professional development. Trix recognises the vulnerable position of artists and it is our mission to provide them with professional support. We are constantly selecting interesting artists, graphic designers, and media makers who:
- have artistic growth potential
- are relevant
- are diverse from one another
- have a clear goal in mind: this can be a well-defined project (such as an album, live show, graphic series, or video production), but may also focus on experimentation and the development of the artist themselves
The duration of the residency depends on the needs of the artist in question.
We offer various formulas for (long-term) musical residencies:

Each year, Trix selects 8 new residents based on an open call. They receive a workspace, coaching, and tailored support for an entire year.
young artists in residence
Four emerging artists at the start of their musical careers receive space for experimentation and development.
Graphic Residencies
Young, semi-professional graphic creators from Antwerp (province) who have a clear goal in mind within atelier SPOOR.
media residencies
Young semi-professional creators at the start of their professional careers who bring Trix to life online and visually through photo and video.
Short-Term Residencies & Working Weeks
Are you a (semi-)professional musician in need of space to work on a specific project? Throughout the year, we offer short-term residencies ranging from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 21 days, providing you with a dedicated workspace. More info »
