Amaea Rae

Amaea Rae blends alternative soul with indie, R&B, afrobeat, and a touch of improvisation with a punk edge. Influences from artists like Etta James, Tony Allen, and Kae Tempest effortlessly weave into her distinctive sound. From subtle to exuberant, her voice is always the guiding force in her music, movement, and expression. Her songs explore turning inward, testing boundaries, recognizing and letting go of the ego, losing yourself & rediscovering yourself — a journey that has taken her from violin lessons as a child to singing and songwriting studies at BIMM London and PXL-Music, while reflecting her Ghanaian roots.

During this residency, Amaea Rae will dive into songwriting and freeform brainstorming, further explore herself as an artist, and work on her first EP/album. Her music invites listeners to let go, connect, and fully embrace the moment.
