De Amerikaanse punkrock band Broadway Calls wordt met hun vlot in het oor liggende poppunk vaak vergeleken met geestesgenoten als Latterman, Green Day, Alkaline Trio en Kid Dynamite. Op 5 februari brengen ze met 'Comfort/Distraction' hun derde album uit, het eerste via het label No Sleep Records. Volgens frontman Ty Vaughn probeert de band hierop het gevoel op het podium na te bootsen:“I think we found a sound, and made a record that will sound the way we want to sound when we play shows. We’re not a very polished band. We mess up a lot, we drop sticks, picks, unplug ourselves and when we make it through a show without messing up, we consider it a great success.. But that’s what we want. When three people set out to make the biggest noise they can, there will be moments of chaos unless you have a sidestage full of techs and babysitters.”
