"Dear friends,
I'm very sorry to announce that my upcoming UK/EU tour is rescheduled for February, and I’ll no longer be joining Flume on tour in Australia. My three Primavera dates are proceeding as scheduled.
It's been an exhilarating year of playing shows and I've loved every second of it, but my new album is very close to being finished and I need more time off the road to give it the uninterrupted attention it requires. This record has been a slower process for me because of all the touring during it's making (Pang would have toured years earlier if not for covid) but it's been so worth it, and the energy we've shared at these shows has gone straight into the new music. I am so grateful to have such an incredible live audience and will not let you down.
Oklou sadly will not be able to join me for the postponed EU/UK dates. A new support will be announced asap.

Ergens halverwege 'So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings', haar populairste nummer, slaat de stem van singer-songwriter Caroline Polachek op hol als ware het een gitaarsolo waarvan Eddie Van Halen zou gaan zweten. Polacheks unieke stemgeluid bracht haar ten tijde van haar Chairlift al op 's werelds grootste festivals en aan de schrijftafel bij Blood Orange en Beyoncé, maar solo-debuut 'Pang' uit 2019 bleek de verdiende seal of approval over de gehele lijn.
De New Yorkse hing de laatste jaren rond met popreformisten als SOPHIE, Danny L Harle en Charli XCX en het resultaat is zowel visueel als auditief een schaamteloze, zelfbewuste en sensuele flirt met de huidige kunstmatigheden van het genre. In tegenstelling tot de (hyper)pop van het hip volk uit haar omgeving, playlist je Polachek echter beter tussen Kate Bush, Imogen Heap of Björk.
Haar tweede album verschijnt weldra. Luister nu al naar 'Billions' en zet je schrap voor een onvergetelijke popshow vol symboliek en uiteraard Polacheks spectaculaire stem.
