ƔAZAL is the musical universe of sonic architect Michiel Van Cleuvenbergen with Frederik Meulyzer on drums, Prisca Agnes Nishimwe on vocals and Matti Willems on saxophone. Their sound grows from rough sketches into an atmospheric world where ambient, dub, jazz and electronics flow together. Warm rhythms, layered textures and dreamlike vocals place ƔAZAL between retro and neo soul with hints of Massive Attack, Burial and Makaya McCraven.
