Toubab Bougnoul
Toubab Bougnoul is a transdisciplinary Afro-European collective blending dance, music, visuals, scent, and performance. Their work explores what happens when language fails: meaning hides in rhythm, movement, and silence. The name, literally “black bleached fart,” reflects the inner conflict many Afro-Europeans experience, and becomes a source of humor, power, and imagination. Rhythm is their primal language, a universal carrier of emotion, memory, and connection. Each performance is a live, wordless conversation, where improvisation, energy, and sensory experience take center stage. Audiences are invited not just to watch, but to feel, and to embrace the unknown as an invitation to surrender.
