Thrown
Stockholm metalcore outfit thrown is rapidly becoming one of the fastest growing heavy bands on the planet. Driven by vocalist Marcus Lundqvist, guitarists Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm, and drummer/producer Buster Odeholm, the band has been on a non-stop touring tear since their 2022 debut EP Extended Pain. Their ferocious debut album Excessive Guilt earned them 'Best Breakthrough Album' at the Heavy Music Awards, cementing their status as an outstanding and relentless live act.
Counterparts
As a leading force in contemporary melodic hardcore and the metalcore revival, Counterparts continues to push boundaries. Vocalist Brendan Murphy, lead guitarist Jesse Doreen, bassist Tyler Williams, and drummer Kyle Brownlee have masterfully refined a signature sound built on raw emotional weight and crushing breakdowns. While 2022's A Eulogy for Those Still Here offered a balance of melodic heartache, their recent release Heaven Let Them Die dives into significantly heavier, darker territory. Backed by a relentless global touring schedule, their live shows remain a masterclass in pure energy.
No Cure
No Cure is unapologetically putting Alabama on the heavy music map, challenging the coastal dominance of the American hardcore scene. Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, the quintet delivers a ferocious hybrid of gritty, basement-bred hardcore and precision death metal mastery. On their Sharptone Records debut EP, I Hope I Die Here, the band channels the frustration of being overlooked and growing up in a deeply conservative environment into a blistering musical statement. Armed with Blaythe Steuer’s piercing vocals and a barrage of devastating riffs, No Cure brings an unpredictable, high-octane energy to the stage that proves their local scene is a force to be reckoned with.
Heavensgate
Melbourne-based outfit heavensgate has rapidly carved out a space in the alternative metal scene. The band fuses metalcore and nu-metal with the atmospheric textures of shoegaze. Since releasing their debut EP And All I Loved, I Loved Alone via Greyscale Records, they have established a sound defined by the contrast between heavy breakdowns and emotional vulnerability. Driven by this balance, heavensgate delivers a live show that is both intense and immersive.
