Job Opening: Technical Coordinator / Sound Technician (100%, permanent contract)

Trix is the music center of Antwerp. Music is our language, through which we connect artists, young people, music lovers, and the residents of this city.

We are also a vibrant network of art and youth players, musicians, and music enthusiasts. The program on our stages, in our workshop, and on location throughout the city is the result of a passionate team and exciting collaborations.

Team Trix is looking for a passionate and experienced sound technician who:

• leads the technical team (yourself, 1 staff member, and a group of freelancers);
• ensures the smooth technical operation (light, sound, and video) of all activities at Trix, both stage- and workshop-related (shows, workshops, camps, rehearsal spaces, etc.);
• develops a network of freelance technicians, students, and volunteers to help realize our ambitions (with a focus on giving opportunities to young people);
• embraces the evening (and sometimes the night);
• works together with the production team on the efficient and transparent administrative preparation and completion of technical files, determines the investment policy regarding technical purchases, and manages all technical equipment (stages, mobile equipment, rehearsal rooms, and studios) at Trix;
• as a team player, seeks feedback from colleagues and supports them in their work execution;
• actively contributes to building Trix as an inclusive leading house of music;
• broadens our perspective on the world.

With relevant experience and/or a relevant education (at least a high school diploma) and an attitude that aligns with that of Trix, you shouldn't hesitate to apply!

Experience in planning and coordination, strong communication and social skills in Dutch and English, and living nearby are additional assets.
