NOVGROD is the solo project of Giel Cromphout, whom you may know from El Yunque (RIP) and Blægger (RIP). Both bands were concerned with tinkering noise, with Novgrod only the tinkering remains. Every song was written and recorded in a hot attic room in Diest. Every instrument – except for a stray double bass and difficult piano – played by Giel himself, while he does not master any instrument properly. But that is of course not important. What is important is that he just does what he likes. Very stubborn, but secretly ambitious. From October you can see them live for the first time, as well as opener for Arab Strap in Trix.
