The British extreme metal outfit Cradle of Filth has been active since 1991, and despite countless lineup changes, leaving frontman Dani Filth as the only remaining original member, they have always managed to preserve their distinctive sound.

Their unique brand of black metal has always been steeped in a gothic horror atmosphere and infused with classic heavy metal leads, a legacy of the NWOBHM that, as true Brits, they’ve never tried to hide even if not every black metal fan appreciated it. Not that they care; on the contrary, Dani and co have never shied away from controversy.

Since 2000, Alcest has been exploring the boundaries between dreamy shoegaze and melancholic black metal. Founder Stéphane "Neige" Paut has crafted a unique sound that feels both intense and ethereal—making them one of the most remarkable bands in the genre. After a mesmerizing performance at AB last year, Alcest returns to Belgium on October 24 for a show at Trix as part of the Les Chants de l’Aurore tour.
