Hot Water Music

Hot Water Music, the legendary punk rock band from Florida, has been giving everything on stage since 1994. Slowing down? They don't think about it. So the band proudly announced their impressive 30th anniversary tour and with 'Vows' a brand new album will even be released on May 10. On this they collaborate with a range of guest artists, including Brendan Yates and Daniel Fang of Turnstile, Thrice, The Interrupters, Dallas Green of Alexisonfire and City and Colour, and Popeye of Farside.

The band is a driving force in the punk rock scene. So we don't have to tell you that the anniversary is a milestone and that you definitely want to be there. In the words of the band themselves: “Our fans have been with us through thick and thin, and this tour is our way of saying thank you for all the love and support over the years. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!”

Quicksand

There is more than one artist named Quicksand: 1) Quicksand was an American post-hardcore band from New York City founded in 1990 by Gorilla Biscuits guitarist Walter Schreifels. The band released two widely-acclaimed albums, Slip and Manic Compression, before disbanding in 1995. In 1997, Quicksand reunited, and embarked on a successful tour in 1998 with Deftones. Towards the end of the year they entered the studio to begin work on a follow-up to Manic Compression, but tensions within the band caused them to split up for good. Walter went on to form Rival Schools. Sergio went on to tour and record with the Deftones to fill in while bassist Chi Cheng recovered from a severe car accident, eventually becoming a fulltime member. 2) Quicksand were an obscure Welsh psychedelic and progressive rock band active in the early 1970s. The members were Robert Collins, Jimmy Davies, Phil Davies and Anthony Stone. They released two singles, Passing By/Cobblestones (Carnaby CNS 4015) in 1970 and Time To Live/Empty Street, Empty Heart (Dawn DNS 1046) in 1973. Their only album, Home Is Where I Belong (Dawn DNLS 3056), was released in 1974. 3) Quicksand (Zivo blato) is a Croatian heavy metal band. It was founded in Split in 1998 by folk/rock singer Sinisa Vuco. It's a trio consisting of Sinisa Vuco - which takes the stage name Vasilije Mitu (guitar/vocals), Veseli Sir (bass), and Mala Planina (drums). "Mala Planina" is actually Mirjan Jovanovic - "Toso", a famous drummer from Split. Read more on Last.fm. As Friends Rust

The American melodic hardcore band As Friends Rust was founded in the late 1990s, but has already had a major break up period (from 2002 to 2008) and a number of personnel changes. Also because of the death of bassist Kaleb Stewart in 2021. Last year, core members Damien Moyal (vocals), Joseph Simmons (guitar), James Glayat (guitar) and Timothy Kirkpatrick (drums) launched the seven-song new album 'Any Joy' together with bassist Andrew Seward of Against Me. That after three EPs, two 7 inches and a previous full-length. But the seven songs on 'Any Joy' are perhaps their most striking yet.
