Born in Austin and now based in New York City, Lefty Parker crafts songs like quiet revelations, introspective, tender, and unmistakably his own. His friendship with Buck Meek began over shared passions for songwriting and surfing, evolving naturally into a creative partnership rooted in trust and curiosity.

After a standout show in San Diego, the two stepped into the studio together. Recorded in October 2023, Ark captures the warmth of their collaboration. The live band featured Buck Meek, Adam Brisbin, and Jesse Turley, with additional contributions from Adrianne Lenker, Germaine Dunes, James Krivchenia, and Michael Sachs. Many of these songs were first heard around the campfires of the Kerrville Folk Festival, including “Sleep,” which prompted Adrianne to say, “I’ve never heard a song like this before.”

Ark unfolds as a folk-rock album filled with clear-eyed storytelling and melodies that resonate long after they fade.
