Martyna Basta, an artist based in Kraków, creates a diaristic sound that delicately balances lush and haunting atmospheres. Over the past four years, she has released an expanding body of work that challenges traditional notions of beauty. Her music explores microtonal dissonance, arrhythmic scraping, breathy sighs, and guttural whispers, revealing what lies beneath conventional aesthetics. Her debut album "Making Eye Contact with Solitude" introduced her as a key figure in the new wave in the European experimental scene.
Slovak-Hungarian musician Adela Mede intertwines field recordings, experimental electronics and trilingual vocals. Her debut album "Szabadság" was released to widespread critical acclaim. It was supported by The Wire, The Quietus, Dazed and NTS Radio, among others.
