The Halo Effect is a Swedish melodic death metal band formed by former members of In Flames and Dark Tranquility. Two of the pioneers and major forces behind 'The Gothenburg Sound'. A sound that would resonate around the world and influence countless metal bands in the 90s and early 2000s. This was also the original idea behind The Halo Effect: to go back to the roots and discover what the groundbreaking metal sounded like at the time.
