Way Dynamic is the solo project of Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Dylan Young. On his latest album Massive Shoe, he drifts between minimalist folk-pop, baroque pop and off-kilter art rock, guided by a restless and playful creative spirit.

Young writes, plays and produces almost everything himself (with collaborator Stefan Blair of Good Morning) and is deeply embedded in Melbourne’s tight-knit music scene. A member of bands like Good Morning, Cool Sounds and Snowy Band, Way Dynamic live shows are often powered by a rotating cast of close friends.

Released via Spoilsport Records, Massive Shoe earned praise from Elton John, John Mayer, Waxahatchee, MJ Lenderman and more — with Katie Crutchfield calling single Miffed It “my favourite song in a VERY long time.”
