Meltheads, Porcelain ID and BLUAI win the Antwerp final of Sound Track

Sound Track – the live and opportunity track of VI.BE and the live sector – crowned 18 artists as laureates of the 2021-2022 edition last weekend. During the Antwerp final in Trix, 8 artists gave their very best to prove that they really are the sound of tomorrow. After weeks of preparation full of coaching, PA rehearsals and feedback, the jury finally chose 3 Antwerp laureates: Meltheads, Porcelain ID and BLUAI. They are now starting an intensive 'track': a tailor-made trajectory in 2022.

In addition to the professional jury, the public also had a say this year. Thanks to Lotto's audience award, the public could vote for their favorite act during each final. The crowd favorite Meltheads in Antwerp also goes home with a check for 1000 euros.

These six regional finals round off a year in which Sound Track for the second time went in search of the sound of tomorrow in every region in Flanders and Brussels. That sound is there, and it needs to be supported.

/ WHAT COMES NEXT

Meltheads, Porcelain ID and BLUAI follow in the footsteps of Meskerem Mees, Coline & Toitoine, Ventilateur and Rosa Butsi, among others. Just like the laureates of the first edition, they each start an individual 'Track' together with the laureates from the other regions: a tailor-made opportunity route, with professional guidance, support from the broad music sector, boot camp weekend, residencies in music clubs, technical, business and/or graphic support, recording time in professional studios, national exposure and shows at leading festivals, in concert halls, in Flemish and Brussels youth houses and even at foreign showcases. A worthwhile adventure that starts now!
