MEMES is a duo from Glasgow comprised of ME and ME, because we are selfish genes. Since forming in 2019 - with a difficult-to-Google name – several gigs in Glasgow and London, a few single releases, favourable comments on the music (unfavourable comments on the ‘dancing’) and a BBC live session for Steve Lamacq have led us here.

In 2020, MEMES were one of Wide Days' showcase acts, included in the INES Talent Pool for 2021/22 and the band's debut EP was released on Fierce Panda Records; garnering airplay and words from Pitchfork, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, KEXP, Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Scotland and The Skinny.
